| Description | Moly-AP is an extreme pressure lubricant for metal assembly and maintenance. This paste form of molybdenum disulfide and other lubricating solids in mineral oil is used primarily for extreme pressure applications where a lubricant is needed to reduce wear on parts during break-in and new part assembly. Base oil vehicle will handle 0º F to 250º. Solids are effective from 0º F to 750º F. | Specific applications include but are not limited to lubricating threaded connections, gears, chains, conveyor tracks, lubricating during metal forming, press-fitting, cold extrusion, breaking in of bearings, movable screws, splines, cams and ways. | Not recommended for use in pressure lines or grease guns; mineral oil content may affect plastic or rubber; reduce torque values by 1/3 when using on threaded connections. |
